res·o·nate  (rz-nt)
v. res·o·nat·ed, res·o·nat·ing, res·o·nates
1. To exhibit or produce resonance or resonant effects.
2. To evoke a feeling of shared emotion or belief: "The love of God seems to resonate within the hearts of secular and religious people alike."
3. To correspond closely or harmoniously: "As the people joined together in worship, their voices seemed to resonate with the voices of the Heavenly Choir."
v.tr.
To cause to resound.

Resonate was formed as a movement of people gathering together outside of any "church building" to resonate in one Spirit, the Holy Spirit. Resonate is not only a gathering for the people of Emmaus Road Church, but for people of any church background. It is not only a gathering for Christians, but for anyone who is seeking more out of life. This is a time for people of any background to join together and find ways to resonate with one another on this journey of life. For more information or for the address of our gathering location, contact Melissa at emmausroadchurch@gmail.com.

Resonate meets every 2nd and 4th Sunday night of each month @ 6PM
@ The Berleans' home

*Childcare is provided during our Worship and Prayer nights.

July 1st- We had an awesome Worship Gathering on Sunday, July 1st. It was a blessing to hear from Steve and Rachael Beiler. The Beilers are missionaries to Albania and visit every 2 summers to share what God is doing there and to raise support. We trust the stories they shared inspired and encouraged you in your walk with Christ as well as challenged you to pray and support God's work across this earth. Thanks to all who gave such a generous offering to their family!

May 5-Thank you to each of you who joined us for the block walk observations to help Habitat collect data to assess the needs for home repair and clean-up in the neighborhood.

April 1- Thank you to all who joined us for our Poverty Supper, April 1st, to raise money for our missionary family, The Beilers, in Albania, to be used toward a summer camp they are running for kids in their neighborhood. We raised $180. Thank you, also, to our kids for helping collect toys to send to the kids of the camp as well.

On March 10th we had a Worship Gathering and Dinner at The Oaks Women's Shelter (252 Bronson). God's Spirit was there in mighty ways as we worshiped in singing and shared testimonies with one another. It is always a blessing spending time with these amazing women!

On Feb 19th we had a Poverty Supper, a simple meal of beans and rice, immediately following our morning worship gathering. The beans and rice were donated by Chipotle. We raised $250 which was given to the ministry, The Free2BMe Project. As most of you know, Free2BMe is a non-profit organization committed to sharing the hope and love of Jesus Christ with women in Toledo's adult entertainment industry.

Our last Hands and Feet outreach on Jan 13th we helped serve the hungry of Toledo with Food for Thought ministry at New Harvest Church, 3540 Seaman, in Oregon. Each week they bag lunches and sort the food pantry to serve over 50,000 people each year in the Toledo area.

On Dec 3rd, 2011 we served at The Oaks Women's Shelter (252 Bronson). Twenty-six of us met together and decorated the shelter and served them a holiday dinner complete with 3 courses, candlelight, and music.

We had a great time from Oct 6-9th, 2011 helping with a room makeover at Cherry Street Mission's Sparrow's Nest. We painted walls, made repairs, and redecorated the sober-living unit of the house. We also helped put together gift baskets for the ladies.

We had a great time at Steve and Melody Bancer's house on August 21st, 2011 reaching out to their neighborhood.  We helped with general cleanup of the street and alley way and followed it up with a block party/cookout. If you'd like more information on future outreach events, keep checking back here or e-mail us at the address above.

The founders of Meals til Monday, Joe and Jenny Earl, shared with us June 19th, 2011 in our morning worship gathering about their outreach to disadvantaged children in our school systems.  Immediately following the worship gathering ERC hosted a Poverty Lunch to raise money to support Meals 'til Monday.  We were able to present them with check for $200!  It costs $165 to feed a child for a year through Meals 'til Monday.  Thanks for making a difference in the life of child and for supporting this incredible ministry.
